Three events were held over the month of May with the Eagle Rally, 1000 lanes and the Classic Tracks. The Eagle Road Rally, based in Newtown would be the first event of the month taking with a few LDMC members taking part.

After a good result on the Plains rally during the day, Dale Furniss made the dash from Welshpool to Newtown to compete on the event with Steven John Willaims in a Ford Escort. However their rally came to a premature end with a retirement before petrol. Debbie Furniss however faired much better than her older brother finishing an excellent 5th O/a and first in the Experts class with Lee Edwards in his 106 GTi. Edryd Evans and son Dafydd finished in 27th O/a and finished the best LDMC crew on the event. Marc Hughes was also competing navigating for Gary Roberts but their event was also short lived with a retirement early on just eight miles into the rally.

The 1000 lanes rally would host the fifth round of the WAMC Road Rally Championship with LDMC members hoping to add to their points tally. Daniel "Lwni" Jones and Dale Furniss headed out as the highest seeded LDMC crew. They were hopeful of another good night on the maps and grabbing another victory after their win on the Night Owl. However, it wasn't to be their night and they finished 27th O/a. Marc Hughes was to fair much better when he was navigating for Elliot Gray. Seeded at car 38 on the event, they produced a fine performance to finish in a brilliant 5th O/a in their Peugeot 205. Stefan Davies and Mark Rodway finished just outside the top 10 in 11th O/a taking another good points haul for their championship aspirations. Justin Jones and Rhodri Morgan had been lying as high as 6th O/a in petrol but had to retire during the second half of the event after losing the brakes. Chris Palmers was also amongst the retirements after he sheared a anti-roll bar bolt on a farm track.

The Classic Tracks rally was held on the May bank holiday weekend taking in 25 tests through farmyards and tracks throughout Sunday. Just three Lampeter crews finished the event with Marc Mayes and Sean Crowley the best LDMC crew finishing 14th O/a and third in the semi-experts class. They had been lying 6th O/a but unfortunatly aquired a slightly harsh two minute penalty for a slight overshoot on a stop astride in a wet field. Gethin Dafis finished as the highest placed LDMC member with 7th overall and second in the semi experts in a Subaru Impreza. A puncture on one of the test lost Dafis some time and dropping him a few places but had been setting consistent top 10 times all day with some top three times on a few tests. Gareth Evans and Robert Walters finished 21st O/a on the event but lost significant time when they had a puncture and got stuck on two of the tests.
